Things I won’t miss being a television news photographer:
*People who drive by, see a television camera and ‘honk’. It has evolved into a Pavlov’s Dog type situation.
*Covering Blizzards. It’s really hard.
*Trying to push small buttons on a camera when it’s -17 outside.
*People who approached me and asked, “Will this be in the paper tomorrow?” Ummm…this happened once a week, sometimes more.
*Carnival workers that have approached me over the years and said, “DON’T PUT ME ON TV!”
*People asking, “Where’s your camera?” when I’m not working. Although I suspect that will continue.
Won’t you also miss when people ask “Do you know Craig Kilborn?”
We’ve had paying clients ask if their ad was going to be “in the Herald”.
I somehow feel like this is a list that will continue to be updated….
Haha…love it! It’s so true. Blizzards I think are definitely the worst!
Will you still be doing hockey games?
Yes.
