*I was reminded of why I don’t like to stay up for Twins games on the West coast. The games are very late and something at the end of them usually annoys me and keeps me up even later. Case in point last night: Twins lose the game on one of the worst calls you will ever see, and yes, I’m including the blown call from the Detroit game earlier in the night.
*Burger King is selling BBQ Ribs. I’m not so sure this is a good idea.
*Yesterday I covered a story where a deer jumped through a window at an apartment building and then thrashed around wildly for about an hour. I waited for a happy ending but it didn’t come.
*Johnny Holm is still good.
*I’ve become a pretty big Chicago Blackhawks fan.
*Funny, but I haven’t heard the Timberwolves come up in the conversations about LeBron James.
*Also yesterday, I was covering Senator Kent Conrad. He toured a local business and we tagged along. It’s one of those places where you have to sign-in. The lady at the desk looked at my name and said, "I recognize that name." As I sheepishly smiled and nodded she continued, "Is that your daughter that plays tennis?" Seriously. My ego can’t take much more of this.
